A fantastic dinner in lovely, relaxed surroundings was enjoyed by visitors to this renowned and sumptuous Hotel ( Jakarta Hotels )(Relais & Chateaux). Set in wooded grounds by the small harbour, it has been owned by the Bise family since 1901: Charlyne, widow of the great pere Francois Bise, runs it, while her daughter, Sophie, as chef, wins a Michelin star, 16 Gault Millau points, for, eg, croustillant de' grosses ecrevisses en escabeche. You can dine under trees on the lovely terrace, where Mme Bise keeps a watchful eye. The team of waiters is thought superb. Very expensive, but worth it. Such a good atmosphere and staff; classy, not pretentious. Stunning views. An immaculate bedroom with a spacious balcony, a gleaming bathroom facing the mountains. rooms (similar to Bandung,Jakarta & Bali hotels - 5 star Hotel ( Jakarta Hotels )rooms) are in the main building and a chalet in the garden. Breakfast was a fine spread.

We love the atmosphere. Two bathrooms (similar to Bandung,Jakarta & Bali hotels - 5 star Hotel ( Jakarta Hotels )rooms) now have a spa bath. Marie-Paule Conan, manager, has `genuine charm' and a great sense of humour. Service is gentle, cheerful. No restaurant: a snack lunch (eg, omelette and salad) can be served, and you can eat at the Beau Site or in the village (`the Bise family's cafe in the square is huge fun).
